These little Chocolate Easter Nests with are incredibly simple to make. They are also a perfect Easter activity for children as they don’t require any baking, just lots of chocolate! Top them off with a few Mini Eggs and there you have it, your own little Easter nests.
So here’s how (makes 12):
- 350g plain chocolate
- 3 tsp golden syrup
- 75g unsalted butter
- 100g cornflakes
- 36 sugar coated chocolate eggs (I used Cadbury’s Mini Eggs)
Line a cupcake tray with 12 paper cupcake cases. Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup together in a glass bowl over some boiling water in a pan. Make sure the water doesn’t boil over and keep stirring so the chocolate doesn’t burn. Once the ingredients have melted together, take it off the heat and stir in the cornflakes making sure they are all covered in chocolate.
Spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases and decorate with three eggs on top of each nest. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour until the chocolate hardens.
Happy Easter to you all!
